There may be a match funder for the Game4Ricky Appeal. If there is a match funder, they will match qualifying donations made by the UK public by SMS text message, up to the amount and on the terms announced through official Game4Ricky channels.

All sums raised by the Game4Ricky Appeal during the Donation Period, and any applicable Gift Aid, will be donated to the Charity. There are no administrative fees payable by you for SMS text-message donations other than the standard network-rate message and/or standard geographical charges described below. Subject to these terms, 100% of donations and any applicable Gift Aid will go to the Game4Ricky Appeal.

B. Who can donate

You must be aged 16 years or over and resident in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man to use the Donation Service. You must be aged 18 years or over and resident in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man if you wish to Gift Aid your donation, as described in Section E below. The Organiser gives no warranty that the Donation Service will be available, legal or appropriate for use outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

If you are under the age of 18, you must have prior permission from your parent or legal guardian before using the Donation Service. Please ask the bill payer for permission before using the Donation Service.

C. Donation period opening and closing dates

The Donation Period for SMS text-message donations using the keywords TEN, TWENTY, THIRTY and FORTY opens on 4 November 2026 at 4pm and closes on 30 November 2026.

Please note that donations made or received outside these dates may not be included in the Game4Ricky Appeal, but you may still be charged as set out below.

D. How to donate

You can donate to the Game4Ricky Appeal only by SMS text message, as set out below.

1. By SMS text message

You may make a donation by sending the keyword TEN to 70515 to donate £10, TWENTY to 70515 to donate £20, THIRTY to 70515 to donate £30, or FORTY to 70515 to donate £40 (each a Keyword) during the Donation Period. Each SMS text message costs the stated donation amount plus one standard network-rate message. Please ask the bill payer for permission before donating.

There is no limit on the number of SMS text donations you may make, but there is a daily limit of £40 on text donations. Further text donations will not be accepted if you have already donated £40 by SMS text message in one day. Your mobile network operator may apply additional charges. No refunds are available for the cost of an SMS text message made or received, or for misdialled shortcodes or misspelt Keywords.

If you do not have sufficient credit in your mobile account, if you only have sufficient credit for a standard network-rate message but not for your donation, or if you are otherwise unable to access the shortcode because of settings on your mobile account, your donation may be unsuccessful.

E. Gift Aid

If you are an eligible UK taxpayer and are 18 years old or over, the Charity may claim Gift Aid from HM Revenue & Customs for your SMS text donation. This can increase the amount you donate by up to 25% at no extra cost to you. During or after an SMS text donation, you will be provided with information about how to sign up for Gift Aid. You may receive a text message with a link to a web page with instructions for adding Gift Aid if you are eligible (an SMS microsite).

To claim Gift Aid, you may be required to provide information including your title, name, home address and postcode. Payment of Gift Aid is subject to HM Revenue & Customs accepting the Charity’s Gift Aid claim.

F. General

Any donation made is non-refundable and non-transferable, except that donations of £100 or more may be refunded if requested in writing to the Organiser’s Customer Care team at donations@legendssoccer.com within seven days of payment. An approved refund for donations of £100 or more will be made within 28 days of the request. Otherwise, the transaction is final and not disputable.

The Organiser and its subcontractors may suspend, withdraw or reset the Donation Service, or any part of it, in their sole discretion at any time. They do not accept responsibility for technical failure or malfunction, or any other problem with a telephone network or line, system, server, software provider or otherwise which may result in a donation not being properly registered or recorded.

The Organiser cannot promise that the Donation Service and related systems will be free from errors or omissions, or available uninterrupted and in a fully operating condition. The Donation Service and related systems may be suspended temporarily and without notice for system failure, maintenance, repair or reasons beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control. The Organiser will not be liable to you or any other person if all or part of the Donation Service is discontinued, modified or changed.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, fraud or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. You agree that use of the Donation Service is on an “as is” and “as available” basis and at your sole risk. Except as expressly set out in these terms, the Organiser and its subcontractors provide no conditions, warranties or other terms in relation to the Donation Service to the extent permissible by law.

Subject to the exceptions above, the Organiser and its subcontractors will not be liable for loss or damage arising from your access to or use of the Website, Donation Service or associated services, including loss of profits, sales, revenue, goodwill, software or data, opportunity, use of computer equipment, staff time, or any indirect, consequential or special loss, however arising.

These terms are available in English only and are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. If you are a Scottish or Northern Irish resident, you may choose the law of your residence and the courts of your residence in Scotland or Northern Ireland where applicable. The Organiser may update these terms from time to time and will post any changes on the Website. We recommend that you print, store or save a copy of these terms for future reference.
